Screech DFA'ed, Roberson In...

The Orioles made another move; albeit, a small one. The team, according to the Baltimore Sun bought out the contract of outfielder Chris Roberson from the Philadelphia Phillies for cash, and in turn, released Jeff Fiorentino who was called "Screech" because of his wild curly hair.

Fiorentino was seen as nothing more as a reserve outfielder potentially for the Orioles, and struggled in the minors after seeing some time in the majors in 2005/2006.

Roch Kubatko has more on yesterday's deal and remarks we still don't have a shortstop (ok, one with a bat), so we may see a combo of Brandon Fahey, Luis Hernandez or Freddie Bynum competing for playing time at the position.

The Baltimore Examiner has more on the move.

More stuff later!
