Adam Dunn Finally Decided To Sign With the Nationals; Oriole Quick Hits & Around the Blogosphere...

I was intrigued if Dunn could fit in Baltimore for his power and batting eye; however, he finally signed in the most logical place left for him to go -- down the Parkway in Washington.

To be blunt, they needed him more down there than the Orioles did up the road.

From Nationals.com: WASHINGTON -- The Nationals finally got their left-handed slugging first baseman, signing free agent Adam Dunn to a two-year contract Wednesday, according to a baseball source. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Nationals are expected to hold a news conference at Nationals Park on Thursday. General manager Jim Bowden was not immediately available for comment.

Dunn, 28, and Bowden have a history together with the Reds organization. Bowden drafted Dunn in the second round of the 1998 First-Year Player Draft. Three years later, Dunn was in the big leagues and became Cincinnati's best power hitter.
