Babe Ruth's Birthday Bash Recollections....

Tonight was an electric night in the city of Baltimore, as hundreds of fans filed into the Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards to celebrate the legendary Babe Ruth’s birthday.

The event, ‘Babe Ruth’s Birthday Bash’, honored Baltimore’s own Babe Ruth, celebrated his life and achievements, plus a celebration of sorts for the Baltimore Orioles and its fans. It was the perfect event to lead the city into spring training and eternal hope for season

Although it was bone-chilling cold out in Charm City, it could not temper those who wanted to enjoy a night of baseball stories, food, drinks, face time with their heroes and a chance to get an autograph or two.

Hall of Fame pitcher Robin Roberts, Former Oriole stars Al Bumbry, Joe Orsulak, Dick Hall, Dave Johnson & Ken Singleton entertained fans with stories of their glory days, a few laughs, and reminisced about Orioles’ baseball a generation ago. During the event, Baltimore Raven Edwin Mulitalo received the first annual Babe Ruth Community Service Award for his work with Big Ed's Band Foundation, which provides instruments and musical support to Baltimore-area schools.

Closing out the event, legendary Oriole fan and personality, “Wild” Bill Hagy lead the crowd in a cheer for Babe Ruth, and his calling card, the O-R-I-O-L-E-S chant.

All in all, for those of you who were not able to make it out tonight to Babe Ruth’s Birthday Bash, you missed out on an opportunity to have a glorious time.
