Bill Buckner Returns to Fenway and The Red Sox

After winning two World Series in the past few years, it seems like the ghosts of the past in Boston are starting to subside. Well, Bill Buckner, who made perhaps the biggest error in baseball history during the 1986 World Series, threw out the ceremonial first pitch to a loud ovation Tuesday at Fenway Park before their home opener.

Growing up, I had seen this man abused by the media - unfairly, for making an error from a routine play.

Some people forget baseball is just a game, and life goes on. It was good to see Buckner back at Fenway and the crowd adore him; however, it's too bad that it had to take two World Series and the landscape of the game changing forever for him to even done this.
