Dice-K versus the Royals...Blogging Live
The day is here. Dice-K is starting in an official game. I'll say he'll do well, and beat the Royals, but the media attention surrounding a guy WHO HAS NEVER pitched a game in the Major Leagues is ridiculous.
The over-hyped sensation, a total creation from ESPN and Red Sox finally is in a game that counts.
I'm watching live from my office, and I'll give you my input.
It's cool to see Kansas City sold out, I just hope it's not all Red Sox fans.
Game Progress:
- The Royals got a hit and a walk, but Dice-K got out of the inning unscatched. Score Boston 1, Royals 0.
- Dice-K retired the side in order during the second inning. He looks like he's in control and is working in a very deliberate fashion...
- Another 1-2-3 inning by Dice-K. Boston still leads 1-0 as the games heads into the 4th inning.
- Good to see Zack Greinke back in the Big Leagues and looking good in his debut this season...
- Dice-K struck out two in the 4th, and got another 1-2-3 inning. He's looking even more sharp as the game goes on...
- Dice-K had runners on 1st and 3rd, but got out of a jam in the 5th...
- David DeJesus homered off Dice-K in the 6th...
- Emil Brown doubled in the 6th, but struck out Alex Gordon to end the inning.
- Dice-K is done, but he was incredible, and for now, he looks to be the real deal. He allowed six hits, one walk, threw 108 pitches and struck out 10 with the Sox leading 4-1 heading into the eighth inning.
