Live at the Yard: The Fifth Inning

We are in the top of the fifth inning, and right now we are down 5-0. Bedard really seems to be struggling tonight with his command, but he is still in there battling.

He's struck 5 or so far, and has been really shaky.

Nick Swisher hit a 2 run homer and that opened the flood gates in the top of 4th inning.

Perhaps if Bedard and the 'pen can hold the A's at 5 runs, we might be able stage a comeback.

You have to give props to the A's, as they have one of the most patient lineups in the sport today.

Ok, Bedard is being yanked -- the bases are loaded. He's got some of the best stuff in the game, but tonight he was not on.

On that note, Oakland seems to have really good representation out here in terms of their fans.

Now in the game is Scott Williamson...

I am an A's fan, so I appreciate the positive comments about our team! Do you have any photos of Danny Putnam? It was his first Major League game and I would love to have a photo. Thanks!
