Miguel Tejada had two big errors in the field, but the win made up for it.
As well, the offense woke up (finally) as Jay Gibbons, Corey Patterson, Aubrey Huff and Nick Markakis got key hits to lead the team to victory. The Birds hit Mussina hard in the first few innings, and was enough to hold onto the win against the powerful Yankees.
Today, Steve Trachsel faces another Japanese import, Kei Igawa at 1:05pm as the Orioles play the Yankees in the second game of a three game series.
Once again, it is expected to be bone chilling cold up there and in much of the Northeast.
