Fan Fest Update
Fan Fest Update: I completely missed this until this morning, but a poster sent me the link the Oriole Fan Fest.
Keep in mind YOU still cannot find the link on the Orioles.com homepage. Intentional or not, I don't know, but it would be nice if it was mentioned on the opening page.
Here's the info I copied and pasted off the page...
Current, former and future Orioles players and coaches will participate in Orioles FanFest 2007, scheduled for Sunday, January 14 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Players and coaches will sign autographs, pose for photos and participate in fan forums at the event.
Where: Baltimore Convention Center
Date: Sunday, January 14, 2007
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Tickets for FanFest are $10 for adults and $5 for children 14 and under and those over 55.
Tickets are also available at the Orioles offices, by calling the Orioles at 1-888-848-BIRD and at the Orioles team stores in York, PA and Washington, DC. On the day of the event, FanFest tickets will be sold at the Convention Center and the Orioles Box Office. Free parking for all fans is available in Lot B/C.
Please remember...
We invite you to enjoy all of the FanFest elements, including interactive games, displays, sponsor booths, clinics and fan forums.

Thanks very much for the update. I for one was very disappointed with the O's new autograph format. In past years, fans could get in, wait for their favorite players, get their autographs, then go enjoy some of the other activities.
Last year, I waited up to an hour just to find six minor leaguers and old timers that I had little interest in.
Other clubs value their fans more. The White Sox or Atlanta Braves fanfests are set up so you can get signatures from all their top players. It's not just an autograph either, it's a moment to exchange pleasantries with a player, maybe ask a question, take a picture, etc. The Orioles should treat their fans better.
Hey there,
Thanks for the post. I have never been to Fanfest, but I have heard storie and first hand accounts as what goes on.
You're better off just having fun and enjoying the sights. If you want autographs, during season you may just want to try to get them in the park, or perhaps wait out in the players' lot before and after games.
I have no idea what the O's plans are this year with the event, and now that the Ravens are in the playoffs and have a bye, the event may be moved.
