Quick Hits

Ok, back to baseball, my favorite sport. I have opined on the NBA enough for one day.

  • Happy Trails, Brad Radke. He's officially retired. Great ballplayer and good pitcher who relied on guts and guile.
  • Jeremy Bonderman signed a 38 million dollar, 4 year extension with the Tigers. Great move considering the price of pitching these days and locking up a young star. If he keeps up his progress, this will be a hell of a deal for Detroit.
  • The Rangers, Giants, Mariners and Angels all have shown interest in Zito, who is believed to be seeking a deal for about $100 million. The Mets are the favorite at the moment by many experts.
  • Another Japanese pitcher signs in MLB. Left-hander Kei Igawa has agreed to a five-year, $20 million dollar contract with the Yankees.
  • The Giants have signed Ryan Klesko to a one year deal.
