I Could Not Resist: My Views on "Rocky Balboa"
Ok, I had the chance last night to catch a late viewing of the movie, "Rocky Balboa".
Well, if anyone has seen the "Rocky" series, most especially "Rocky V", you see why sequels should never ever be made, no matter how much money it brings. However, after "Rocky V", a movie had to be made to close out the series rather than to have the last movie as an epilogue to a major movie character. This time, Stallone can justify making "Rocky Balboa", if only to forget "Rocky V" was ever made.
Anyhow, I think "Rocky Balboa" was a decent movie, certainly not great, pretty much predictable and a general idea that has been used over and over, but it was good, fairly entertaining and nice way to burn an hour and 40 minutes. Basically, Rocky wants to box again, Rocky trains, Rocky fights, Rocky triumphs.
In the end, it's not a classic, but I am satisfied with the ending of the "Rocky" series. Mr. Stallone, if you read this blog (um, whatever), don't make another "Rocky".
If anyone cares, there's the official trailer to the movie on top of this posting via Youtube.
