Cubbies' and the Bling...

The Chicago Cubs who are ever so inspired to rid of themselves of the Billy Goat Curse, have once again spent more of the Chicago Tribune money and are close to inking Jason Marquis to a contract.

Marquis, formerly of the Cardinals is close to signing a 3 year deal with the Cubs in the $20 million range. The Cubs have spent $250 million this offseason on free agents Soriano, LeRosa, Lilly, signed Lou Piniella and resigned Armaris Ramirez, Kerry Wood & Wade Miller.
