  • The New York Mets are still in the hunt for Barry Zito and Jeff Suppan. As well, the Brewers have put in an initial contract offer for Jeff Suppan. Also, the Minnesota Twins signed longtime veteran to a 1 year deal for 2.75 million dollars.
  • Boras still expects Drew to sign with the Red Sox in light of the injury news. He also asserts Drew is healthy and should be ready to go the for '07 season.
  • The Washington Nationals have re-signed Robert Fick to a contract.
  • Wally Backman is set to manage an independent league team. Remember, he was supposed to manage the Diamondbacks a few years ago, but gave up the job after he was discovered to have financial and personal problems.
  • David Riske, Zach Day and Brandon Duckworth signed with Kansas City, which should help bolster their pitching.
