The Baltimore Orioles Moving to Dodgertown/Vero Beach?

According to the AP, the Baltimore Orioles are pondering a move of their spring training operations to Vero Beach, Fla., the current home of the Dodgers Spring Traning facility, Dodgertown. The potential move to Vero Beach may happen if the Orioles cannot work out an agreement with the city of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The mayor of Vero Beach, Fla. Tom White, noted that the Orioles and several other teams have inquired about the facility, since the Dodgers will probably set up camp in Arizona for Spring Training in 2009. According to the mayor, the Orioles have paid a visit to the facility although the denies it has.
