Quick Hits: The Roundup...
With a day off last night, the Orioles got some rest.
So did I. After my car got broken into on Saturday and trying to figure how I can get things replaced, this week has not been fun; furthermore, the day off gave me a chance to get myself in order.
Starting today, the Washington Nationals come into the Yard to continue the so-called "Battle for the Beltway", the hyped up event that no one really cares or makes a big deal about. The media might be trying to make a big deal about it, but both teams are under .500 and the players really don't care, and the fans are lukewarm towards it.
The only thing driving this series is the hatred of Peter Angelos in both cities.
Considering the awful traffic on I-95 and the Parkway, the attendance my be sketchy.
Anyhow, the Orioles can get back on track if they can beat one of the so-called worst teams in the league, the Nationals.
Then again, the Nationals (like I have said before, as I cover them) will be no push-over, and they took 2 of 3 from the always tough Minnesota Twins.

Point of information: I have found MASN at times to be way too Baltimore-centric, and if you think that's the case, read Marc Fisher's Blog on Washingtonpost.com
