Kevin Millar Gets Revenge Against Red Sox; O's Beat Them 6-3, Rundown...

Boston Red Sox va. Baltimore Orioles; August 12th, 2007

What a win, what a win.

The Orioles capped off an incredible weekend by taking two out of three from the Red Sox, and as well having two come from behind wins in the series.

Kevin Millar hit a three-run game-winning homer for the Orange and Black to win 6-3. It was a great feeling shutting the Red Sox fans up and we walking out of the park with a dramatic win.

I'll say this now, in light of the losing, this might be the best Baltimore team in a decade. Under Trembley, this team has a lot of fight in them and they'll battle until the very end.

Let's give a special thanks to Greg Gagne, because without him, the story might be different.

He imploded Friday and gave up a two run bomb to Miguel Tejada in the eighth inning to tie the score.

So much for the big trading deadline acquisition, eh?

With the Orioles full of confidence right now, they head to New York to face the red hot Yankees and then onto Toronto. If the O's can take 4 out of 6 this week, they'll be in great shape for a run at .500...

The Baltimore Sun has a recap of the game, as does the Baltimore Examiner, Washington Post, Orioles Hangout, & Oriole Magic!

Roch Around the Clock has the nitty-gritty from yesterday, and Bill Ordine from the O, By the Way Blog believes the O's retook Camden Yards in light of the lack of actual O's fans in the park...

Kevin Cowherd reports the All-You-Can-Eat section in left field is a huge success, and considering you get a decent seat and all the nachos, dogs and coke you can eat for $35, it's no wonder why tickets are in such high demand for the section. I'll report on it sometime this season, but I'm not going to make it a habit...

Roch Kubatko has a piece on Oriole prospect, Bob McCrory...

Tike Redman is happy to be in the majors right now...

As found out this weekend, Jay Gibbons will be going under the knife, as his poor season is coming to an end...

Well, the Red Sox fans came to Baltimore en masse for the weekend, as reported by the Examiner.
