Orioles Lose to Red Sox 6-2; The Rundown...

Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been kind of busy this weekend and at both Red Sox games so far this series.

Well, the O's won on Friday and lost on Saturday.

I covered both games for Oriole Magic!

Anyhow, Garrett Olson got shelled today; however, he settled down and got into the seventh inning until the bullpen came in and could not manage to keep things in check.

In the end, the Orioles lost 6-2 on Saturday.

I have photos for both Friday and Saturday's game (just click on the links).

Check out Roch Kubatko's blog, Roch Around the Clock for tidbits, news and more about today's game at the Yard. I think this edition of the blog is a must read for any Oriole fan.

The Baltimore Sun & Examiner have a report of Saturday's game.

Chris Ray is set to start a throwing program in Florida as he prepares to come off the disabled list and rejoin the team.

Well, the O's look to be officially rebuilding, and columnist Peter Schmuck weighs on the issue...

Fans may be sad, or in the case, relieved - Jay Gibbons is done for the season and will have surgery his shoulder. As we all know, Brian Burres is long relief, while Garrett Olson will be slotted in the starting rotation for now.

Read Matt Palmer's article on Nestor Aparicio and his thoughts on another "Free the Birds" rally. I admire Nestor's passion and love WNST; however, another rally would be a very bad idea. While I support the thought behind the protest, I refuse to walk out on the team while they are playing on the field.
