O's Lose in Boston 7-4; The Rundown
On Thursday, the Baltimore Orioles lost again to the Boston Red Sox, 7-4.
The O’s returned to the scene of the now infamous Mother’s Day Massacre and the Sox took 2 of 3 from the black and orange.
They played a well fought out game; however, the seventh inning was their undoing as the Red Sox tattooed a four spot thanks to an ineffective Rob Bell.
O’s starter Jeremy Guthrie was a bit off, going five innings plus and giving up three runs.
Rob Bell only pitched 2/3 of an inning, and gave up four runs, all earned.
Both the red-hit Corey Patterson and Jay Payton drove two runs in each for the O’s.
Baltimore heads to Tampa Bay where they have a three game set (and hopefully sweep).

As well, they have a question for Brian Roberts – this time about Dave Trembley’s status…
Matt Palmer believes that the Orioles not acquiring Mark Teixiera was a bleesing in disguise – I agree! Thanks, I have more than one person who agrees with me about Tex. He’s a fine a player, but he would have been worth it for the Orioles if they were in contention. I feel that we should go after him when he’s a free agent and see what the organization can do.
