Kevin Millar and the Red Sox...
For all the Oriole fans out there, I am opening up the floor -- does anyone have a problem Kevin Millar appearing on Fox rooting and rallying on the Red Sox in a sport before Game Six? Furthermore, does anyone have a problem with him appearing before Game Seven throwing out the first pitch when he is a current Oriole?
Me, I don't have a problem; however, some might. I think it's a good thing that the Red Sox organization have the doors wide open for Kevin (to an extent) and there seems to be no bitterness on his part. Considering his significance in Red Sox history in the past decade, I guess it is somewhat appropriate.
The floor is yours.

I don't have a problem with it. He obviously had permission from the Orioles to come otherwise he wouldn't have done it.
Nor I do; alas, there might be some passionate Oriole fans who might be disgusted at Millar for supporting a division rival in the ALCS.
Millar is their (the fans') good luck charm, he believed all through 04 while others lost faith.
Bill Mueller (2004 3rd baseman) threw the 1st pitch out yesterday, Pedro Martinez was asked but the Mets said no. Undoubtably the O's FO has no problem with it. Kevin being Kevin.
These guys are former colleagues and friends but not competitors until spring training 08.
Anon - I agree. Considering his significance in 2004 to the team and the region, it's not a big deal.
It's not like he did it in the regular season.
As time goes along, I think the majority of professional athletes do not live and die with the fans. They love winning, but do not share the passion some of us do.
For the most part, athletes do want to win; however, for the vast majority of them, it's a job and a profitable one. I know we'd feel better if they were loyal to "our" area and our team, but it's often not the case.
Millar obviously has a special connection to that team, and from what I have seen in Baltimore in terms of his interaction with the Red Sox, one with the players as well.
For every Jeter, there's probably 10 every players who are thankful for the paycheck.
Thus, the Millar thing in my mind is no big deal.
We in Red Sox Nation still love Kevin Millar and root for him when he is playing for the Orioles. He's part of the history and the passion of being a Sox fan. You are lucky to have someone so full of energy and fun. You could have an overpaid, brooding, egotistical player instead! We fans want him back as a Sox.
