Bad News for O's Fans; the March 29th, 2008 Exhibition Game in Washington D.C. (O's vs. Nationals)

Well, as you know the Nationals are opening up their new park in 2008, and they are having an exhibition game on March 29th in Washington D.C.

For those of you who do not have Nationals' season tickets, I have some bad, bad news for you all. It sucks even more if you're an Orioles fan and live in the Washington area.

It seems you cannot get tickets.

From the Washington Post via the 'Nationals Journal'

The March 29 game against the Orioles: It will be free to season-ticket holders, which is a change from previous years. But there will be no tickets available for the game. Kasten described it as a "dress rehearsal," and said, "We don't need to have the park full." The idea, it seems, is to get a healthy crowd in there to test such things as flushing all the toilets, etc., and give the staff a dry run. The club will work with the city to see if it can donate banks of free tickets to kids, etc., and they'll round out the crowd that way.

Considering the Nationals and Orioles share overlapping territory, how do you feel about it?

I'll be away and fairly busy the next few days, so BeatleFanatic will be manning the fort. Well, I'll pop in from time to time; however, she'll be running the show.
