The Idiot File: Nick Saban
Rather than write what I want to say, I'll let the video speak for itself.
Sorry, when anyone uses a tragic incident, war, or strife going on society to make a parable or corollary with sports, it's completely off base.
Saban was just out of line on this issue, and he should apologize. If he can pontificate and run his mouth, he should be able to take the heat.
It's too bad that fans who root for the Crimson Tide will find some way to excuse this. I hope someone in the University of Alabama hierarchy calls him out and tells him the way things should be, but I am not counting on it.

NEW SPORTS TERM: "Pulling a Saban" = coach gives up on a failing Pro team, and goes back to coaching college where it is easier to have a winning record. (+/- lies/denials of being a coward/giving up).
