Alas, I got front row seat action, as today a fellow fan gave my friend and I a comp ticket as we were looking to purchase some for the action Tuesday afternoon.

Boy, did we get lucky today.

Anyhow, the fellow who gave us the tickets also sang a wonderful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner and got the crowd to join in.

If have the opportunity to head down to Florida or Arizona for Spring Training - go. Whether you're staying for a few days, a week, or more, the atmosphere and fun of baseball before it all counts is a wonderful experience. For the most part, players are more open during this time of the year than any other.

Plus, at the ball games, you meet an eclectic group of people from all walks of life who share one thing in common - the love of baseball.

More in the morning - I'm beat after driving on god awful I-95 in Florida from Ft. Lauderdale to Vero Beach. Well, I'm at a Red Roof inn near Vero Beach and I'll be headed to Jupiter to catch the Nationals vs. Cardinals Wednesday afternoon.

For Oriole fans; I'll be in Ft. Lauderdale again on Friday (Red Sox) and Saturday (Mets).
