MLB Stuffage:
* The New York Mets and manager Willie Randolph was rewarded with a 3 year, 5.65 million dollar deal that runs through 2009. As you know, Willie Randolph led the Mets to the NL East title, but lost in the NL Championship to the St. Louis Cardinals.
* Free agent outfielder Cliff Floyd agreed Wednesday to a $3 million, one-year deal with the Cubs. He can make an additional $4.5 million this year in bonuses based on plate appearances and time served on the roster (away from the DL). The deal includes a mutual option for 2008. The O's had talked about getting Cliff Floyd, but backed off of any notion of bringing him to Baltimore after he made it known he'd prefer to play in Chicago.
