Quick HIts: More Drug News and MLB Stuffage...

More on the Drug Front… Well, now we have more names in the drug probe that has recently ensnared Gary Matthews and others within the past week.

This time WWE wrestlers, the late Eddie Guerrero, Randy Orton, Oscar ‘Rey Mysterio’ Gutierrez, Adam ‘Edge’ Copeland, & Shane ‘Hurricane’ Helms are the latest personalities who have had HGH and other drugs delivered to them via David Wilber, an Arizona doctor.

This will no doubt bring a whole lot of unwanted attention to the WWE and Vince McMahon, who faced a huge steroid trial in the early 1990’s and did not face any repercussions from it.

MLB Stuffage:

Igawa Struggling: Japanese Import Kei Igawa, who signed a $20 million, five-year contract after the Yankees bid $26 million for his rights is struggling in spring training and might end up in the minors if he does not improve real quickly.

Young Jeff Karstens may grab the 5th starting spot if Igawa does not improve and he has been impressive in spring training throwing 10 scoreless innings until giving up a run today.

  • David Wells has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. My mother has diabetes, and hopefully David Wells will have to his keep vices under control, as now he’s got to get his health in order and take care of his body. Diabetes is easily manageable, if he devotes himself to now being healthy.
  • Law and Order: Some St. Louis police officers are being investigated internally over allegations that they used World Series tickets seized from scalpers.
  • The Texas Rangers have severed their naming rights agreement with AmeriQuest Mortgage.
