Quick Hits: O's News

2007 is shaping up to be a big year for the Orioles, and much of it is riding on the starting pitching, especially with the triumvirate of Erik Bedard, Adam Loewen and Daniel Cabrera. Leo Mazzone likes what he sees out of the three, and the Baltimore Sun’s Roch Kubatko has an article about it.

The Baltimore Orioles won 4-3 in Grapefruit League play against the Washington Nationals, but reliever Paul Shuey strained his right Achilles’ heel covering home plate during a play and will get an MRI today.

The Baltimore Sun has a Q&A with Scott Williamson.

The Washington Post has more on Paul Shuey’s injury & Jaret Wright along with Jay Gibons trying to come back from a tragic year full of injuries and his mother’s death.

Spencer Fordin of Orioles.com has a piece on Jaret Wright trying to fit in with the team.
