This and That: O's Event and Around the Blogosphere...

What is Gary Throne doing calling games for ESPN? Should he not be on Peter’s short leash? Just kidding.

It’s a wonderful day out and not much is going on, but again I am wasting company time by flipping between the Yankees and Reds game along with the Red Sox and Phillies game on MLB.tv (the best way to kill a boring afternoon at work).

Breaking News: Looks like Jonathan "Paps" Papelbon will probably be put back into the Red Sox bullpen...

Orioles Tag Day:

I just got this email, so thought I’d share with those who have not seen it yet from the Orioles:

With the start of the 2007 season just a few weeks away, the Orioles will hold a Tag Day on Saturday, March 24, from noon - 4 p.m. at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

Tag Day gives fans interested in purchasing either a full or partial Season Plan for the 2007 season the opportunity to "try out" their seats before they buy. Available seats will be tagged with pennants, and Orioles sales representatives will be stationed in each section to discuss season plan options.

Orioles Season Plans come in 81-game, 29-game, and 13-game packages. Season Plan Holders are exclusively entitled to Orange Carpet Benefits, including early entrance to the ballpark for batting practice at each home game and priority access to special events. This year, Plan Holders will receive a limited-edition set of three Cal Ripken bobbleheads, including one designed exclusively for Season Plan Holders.

Tickets for plans purchased at Tag Day will be printed immediately, allowing fans to take their tickets home with them. In addition, the Orioles Box Office will be open for both season plan and individual game purchases.

Free parking for Tag Day is available in the North Warehouse Lot. Fans should use the entrance marked "Orioles Sales Center" at the north end of the warehouse. For more information, call 1-888-848-BIRD.

Considering I am going into year four of sitting in the same seats, I don’t think I’ll go and figure out the view from where I am; however, if I have nothing to do and want to go shopping, I might hang out there, watch a few innings of the Dodgers game on the Jumbotron and maybe make new friends.
